About CodeKids Academy
CodeKids Academy opened in HSR Layout in 2023, started by two engineers: Priya Raman, who spent nine years building payment systems, and Karthik Menon, who shipped embedded firmware for consumer devices. Both still teach every week.
Four teachers run the academy today, all working or former software engineers. We cap every batch at 8 because that is the number at which a teacher can read every student's code in every class, and we hold to it even when there is a waitlist.
The centre has 12 class laptops, 10 Arduino kits, and one rule on the wall: if it does not run, it is not done.
for parents
Six things you can check, any week
Not promises, standing rules. Walk in and verify any of them.
Batches capped at 8
The register for every batch sits at the front desk. Count the names.
A progress note every 4 classes
Two lines from the teacher: what your child built, and what comes next.
Demo day each level
The last class of every 12-week level is open. Your child presents the capstone, you ask the questions.
Monthly fees, no lock-in
No annual contract. Leave any month with a week's notice and no exit fee.
Two makeup classes a month
Missed classes carry over. Book the makeup slot at the desk or on the phone.
Screens with a purpose
Class laptops run the editor and course material only. The only games allowed are the ones students write.
$ codekids visit --demo-day next
Come to a demo day before you decide.
Demo days are open to visiting parents too. Watch what students present at the end of a level, then book your child's free trial.
